PicoDoku
Modes
- Normal: Regular Sudoku rules - arrange the colours so that no shade repeats in any row, column or in any 3x3 blocks. You can select from an Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty.
- Daily: Solve a daily puzzle. Maximize your score by prioritizing the cell with the most empty cell on its row, column, or block. One incorrect cell will end your attempt.
- Scored: The same scoring as in Daily, but you can generate new puzzles and change the difficulty level.
This game was inspired by board game Farve-sudoku (Colour Sudoku) sold by Flying Tiger, and it can be used to generate new puzzles and their solutions (see Normal mode).

We enjoyed playing this game on stream!
Could we keep the colors but ALSO use traditional numbers? It takes my brain WAY too long to look at a set of 8 colors to assess which one is missing.
Yeah, when I will get back to this game, I will probably add number and few alternative colour schemes.
nice idea, but there are too many "red" colors is difficult to understand what is missing, it ends up to be more difficult that with numbers
Same with the two greens, they are pretty close. Every color needs to be very distinct from the others.
yeah the issue is the limited palette of pico8, you can't choose any color you want.. maybe with dither could help
